  • Amazing Skillet!

This is the only camp skillet that I would trust for real cooking! It is thicker in the center and cooks evenly regardless of the burner being used. Food does not stick and this is the first skillet that hasn't burned my food. Worth every penny! Have used it with the JetBoil MiniMo and various other burners for cooking steaks, burgers, stir-fry, etc. Have not tested with my alcohol stoves yet as I prefer adjustable burners for low heat cooking, which is best for eggs! The included spatula is great for flipping food. However, I would also suggest buying the GSI "Essential Spoon-Long" as it is silicone-tipped and is perfect for stirring meals that you plan to simmer. It also easily scrapes food off the skillet without scratching or melting. You can even leave it in the skillet while cooking as it can handle the high heat. Avoid metal cooking utensils as you could possibly scratch the ceramic. Also avoid cheap plastic utensils as they could melt.

  • Group Water Boiler Machine!

Let me start by saying I have been using Jetboil Products since before they hit the retail floor- I had a shop demo PCS in my store before they shipped their first retail units. Since then, I have owned the PCS, 1.5L pot, a Flash, 2 Genesises, a Luna side Burner, a Sumo, and a Minimo. I have also used or owned everything from a Svea 123 to an XGK to catfood stoves. Been there, done that. If what you want is to boil water for 3-4 people quickly and efficiently in a 3 season setting- look no further. I also use it on car camping trips with the french press attachment as the group coffee maker either with a Luna Side Burner on my Genesis or on it's own.

  • Perfect for my needs

I needed a light weight, compact stove, with three burners so I could cook for a group. The basecamp, with the Luna satellite burner is perfect. I've had it out several times and could not be happier. Everything stores in a single container, with a strap that makes it very easy to store and transport. And the Luna stores very nicely in the 1.8L cup I added to the system. One suggestion, pick up a couple of microfiber towels. I use one to wrap the basecamp so it doesn't scratch the 5L pot, and one for the Luna so it doesn't scratch the 1.8L. Two thumbs up!

  • Great Product

Bought the Sumo because I need to cook for a minimum of 3 people anytime I'm out camping. Boils a lot of water crazy fast, cools down quickly so you can get back on the trail. Used it on a backpacking trip where I was able to "cook" enough water for breakfast and coffee for 8 people in less than 15 minutes...the other stoves in the group were too unreliable or inefficient, so it was just easiest for me to use the Sumo to cook for us all. It came with the pot support too, which I haven't used yet, but am looking forward to cooking on.

  • Space saving design and wonderfully fine adjustments

I cook full meals at camp and my other stoves were really difficult to adjust the flame. This has been amazing at easily adjusting to a really low flame without blowing out. I love the clamshell design that takes up a lot less space than other stoves while being fully functional when opened. I can cook on both burners at once and I even use a single burner cast iron griddle on one burner while using other cookware on the other. The included bag is spacious and also fits my plates, so they are stored together. The only negative is the included wind blocker - it isn't the easiest to attach and its plastic so it has melted where the griddle touched it. I don't usually need it, so it's not much of an issue.

  • Coffee in the Tetons

Bought the Jetboil Sumo before our trip to the Grand Tetons, Great stove with excellent engineered packing features. Used it for boiling, frying and making coffee. The coffee drinkers on our team had their cups in hand every morning as they headed my way. I picked the Sumo so that I could pack my fuel inside the system. Best stove and accessories I have found, no need to look anywhere else.
